Dear students, Lamiaa A. Elrefaei is a distinguished Professor of Computer Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra, Benha University, and currently serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information Technology at Innovation University, Egypt. Her academic career spans over two decades, during which she progressed through all academic ranks at Benha University, from Demonstrator to Full Professor of Computer Engineering (1998–present). She currently serves as the Information Technology Consultant at the Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra (2024–present). Previously, she held several senior leadership roles, including Head of the Electrical Engineering Department (2023–2025), Coordinator of the Computer Systems Engineering Program, and Director of the IT Unit (2020–2024). Prof. Dr. Elrefaei also gained valuable international academic experience at the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where she served as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor (2015–2020). She is a Certified Reviewer at the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE) since 2023. Her research interests include computer vision, multimedia security, wireless and nano networks, computational intelligence, and artificial intelligence. She has published extensively in high-impact scholarly journals and international conferences, contributing significantly to the fields of computer vision, networking, and AI. In addition, Prof. Dr. Elrefaei serves as the Executive Editor of the Engineering Research Journal – Faculty of Engineering (Shoubra) since 2020, and as an Associate Editor of the Alexandria Engineering Journal since 2025. She has also served as a Technical Program Committee (TPC) member in numerous international conferences and symposium.
