Dear students,
Mohamed Shohdy Ahmed Professor of Lighting Design, Metal Products and Jewelry Department, Faculty of Applied Arts, Capital University (formerly Helwan University). and is a seasoned academic leader with over 20 years of academic experience. He previously served as Head of the Metal Products and Jewelry Department, and held several key administrative and leadership roles at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University, including Director of the Production Unit, Chair of the Examination and Assessment Committee, Deputy Executive Director, and Deputy Director of the Quality Assurance Unit. Prof. Dr. Shehdy played an active role in the quality assurance and accreditation development project at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University, contributing to institutional improvement and academic excellence. He also served as Director of the Production Unit at the Faculty of Arts for three years, demonstrating strong experience in academic administration and applied practice. In addition to his academic career, he has professional experience collaborating with several major companies, including E-HAF, ECG, and HELL, further strengthening the link between academic education and industry practice.
